Top Thing to do on Date Night in Barbados

With busy schedules and increasing workloads, time to spend with the significant other becomes limited. However, that’s the ideal reason date night was invented, to take eat least one night a week to just be with each other without any distractions – work, kids etc. With so many things to do in Barbados, it could become quite exhausting settling on just one place for the perfect date night. Here, we have compiled a list of the top things you can do for a romantic date night in Barbados….

  1. Sunset Cruise on Tiami Catamaran

There is nothing more romantic in the tropics than a sunset cruise. On three nights, Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday, Tiami Catamaran offers sunset cruises. You have the option of the Tiami Turtles at Sunset, where you will enjoy d’oeuvres, cocktails and swimming and snorkelling with the turtles on Sunday nights, while on Wednesday and Saturday nights, you have the option of the 4 hour Sunset Dinner Cruise, where you can also swim and snorkel with the turles but enjoy a buffet dinner as well.

  1. Romantic Dinner for Two

It is no secret that Barbados has some of the best restaurants in the Caribbean, but even better than the great food served is the amazing ambiance at these restaurants, making it the perfect place for a date night. Enjoy romantic dining by the sea at CinCin by the Sea, Water’s Edge or the renowned, award winning, celebrity frequented and five star restaurant, The Cliff (see accompanying image). Sit back, relax and enjoy each other’s company over a romantic, sumptuous candlelit dinner at any of Barbados’ finest restaurants.

  1. Sunset Picnic on the Beach

If you are looking for something a little less expensive but just as romantic, why not have a sunset picnic on any of our white sandy beaches? Gather up some of your favourite foods, secure some lighting to set the ambiance and some blankets, and dine by the water’s edge. An ideal place for a sunset picnic on the beach is the Crane Beach on the South Coast, voted as one of the 10 best beaches in the world and the best Caribbean Beach.

  1. Stargazing at Cattlewash Beach

Stargazing is very romantic and Cattlewash beach in Barbados is probably the best spot to do this. It is the longest stretch on sandy beach on the island, so take a blanket and wrap up with your significant other and watch the stars shooting above. Because it is so long, you will have privacy, even if there are others on the beach at the time. The beach can be a bit lonely at times at night, so just take caution.

  1. Atlantis Submarine Night Dive

This romantic 45 minute tour makes for a great date night for you and tour special someone. Watch as the high powered lights illuminate the waters below, providing stunning views of the coral and sea life below. Cocktails are served after the dive.

  1. Experience the nightlife in Holetown

Begin the night with a drink at Sharkey’s Bar sipping cocktails under the colourful lights set up outside. Then, make your way onto 1st and 2nd street and take your pick of bars, restaurants and nightclubs including Nishi Restaurant (for excellent sushi and other cisine) and the Lime Bar and Restaurant. 1st and 2nd street tend to be liveliest on Friday and Saturday nights, making Holetown ideal for a night out with your significant other.

  1. Dinner, Drinks and a Movie at Limegrove Lifestyle Centre.

Enjoy a lovely night out at the high end and luxurious Limegrove Lifestyle centre. After dining with your loved one, cap off your night with a luxurious movie experience at the Limegrove Cinemas. Limegrove Cinemas will be a romantic place to end your night, and pay extra for the gold seats in the back row of the cinema and enjoy classy service right at your fingertips without moving a muscle.

With any of these lovely choices, you and your significant other are sure to have a peaceful and most importantly, romantic night enjoying each other’s company. With so many experiences to be had across the island, you may even be tempted to have more than one date night a week!
