Recipe - Tamarind Balls
2¼ cups sugar
Remove tamarind from shell. Remove seeds and boiltamarind in salt water until soft. Allow to cool and dreain water. Add pepper and 2 cups sugar, and combine until mixture is firm enough to form balls. Place the remaining sugar in a shallow plate. Shape tamarind balls and roll in the remaining sugar. Serve as is or wrap in wax paper until ready to eat.
