Port St. Charles Marina and Yacht Club

Monday, 27 March 2017 / Published in Blog, Go For The SIGHTS, Latest posts

Port St. Charles Marina and Yacht Club

The Port St. Charles area is recognized as the premiere Caribbean marina and there is no doubt as to why. This 22 acre exclusive resort and man-made marina, located in St. Peter has individually furnished luxury villas on the water’s edge, available for purchase or short or long term renting, with many of the properties having berthing stations for yachts. In total, Port St. Charles has about 156 individual condos, with free WIFi, free wired internet and DVD players. Other room amenities include air conditioning, premium TV channels, free toiletries kitchen and private bathroom, with housekeeping available on a limited basis. For those with children, babysitting or childcare services are provided.

Within this prestigious resort is a first class restaurant called La Mer located at the Yacht Club, various bars, and also a gym and yoga classes/instruction for the ideal relaxing experience. During your experience at Port St. Charles, you can relax at any of the 2 outdoor swimming pools, or just chill out at the marinas.

Not to be outdone is the white sandy beach at Port St. Charles. Beach umbrellas and sun loungers are provided for guests, for the perfect paradise island feel. It is hardly ever busy, making it ideal for tanning, swimming, snorkeling and other water sports.

The unique nature of Port St. Charles is epitomized by the fact that is not a mere villa resort and tropical paradise for visitors, but it also serves as an official port of entry into Barbados, with persons from immigration, customs, coastguard and the police stationed here. Many visitors to Port St. Charles often arrive directly by private yachts and helicopter, highlighting the exclusivity of the area.

Port St. Charles Yacht Club

The Port St. Charles Yacht Club described by many guests as “simply paradise”, offers a full service bar and restaurant to its patrons. The meals are all of international cuisine prepared by a world class chef, and are served in an open air setting. With nothing by spectacular views around, sit on any of the deck loungers and enjoy a nice tan. While your room/villa will include a kitchen, the menus at the yacht club will convince you that you won’t need to do too much cooking while on holiday (cooking is a chore within itself, so who would really want to cook while on holidays anyways). Friday evenings will also see entertainment provided in the form of the world famous band, Fire and Ice.

So whether you are interested in purchasing one of the luxury villas or just experience a different type of stay outside of a hotel, Port St. Charles serves as a great home away from home.

TripAdvisor Reviews

“Holiday of a lifetime” – Cats_in_hats

A beautiful location, with stunning properties and wonderful staff. Would recommended to both family and couples for a either a quiet retreat or that once in a lifetime family holiday. The houses are large and decorated to a high standard with en suites for every bedroom. It’s like a home from home with a large and fully equipped kitchen. Not to mention views of the Mariana and a water taxi on call to take you to the beach or swimming pool. Also very close to Speightstown and Moontown which are also great local (minimal tourists) and honest areas to eat, drink and shop.

“5 star home comfort” – mantatelur3

Booked 8 nights here. The apartments are well appointed in terms of comfort, decor and equipment for self-catering. The resort is very much a millionaire’s playground, with accommodation overlooking a lagoon where yachts and high class boats are berthed. Apartment 344, benefits from both sea and lagoon views (one bed, king size). Do consider hiring a car if deciding to stay here, as Speightstown is a good 10 minute walk for shopping or eating out. Would definitely return, as this was such a relaxing break a great escape away from the hustle & bustle that some resorts are known for.

“Beautiful Accommodations ”– Rosann C

We spent 3 nights at Port St Charles in room #345. The view was beautiful, and the 2 bedroom accommodations were outstanding. The property is close to many of the best restaurants in Barbados and located on a beautiful beach. We would definitely stay there again on our next visit.
