Adventure Beach, The Boatyard

Adventure Beach at the Boatyard is one of the most exciting places to visit on Saturdays for both adults and children. You can enjoy snorkeling, swimming, jet skiing, glass bottom boats, rope swinging, diving, the ocean trampoline, and of course, relaxing on the lounge chairs with umbrellas. Also, food and drinks are available at the restaurant so you have everything you need for a relaxing and fulfilled day at the beach. In addition to the variety of watersports, there are beach facilities for showering and changing as well as free WIFI. For more information, contact 436-2622.

Sugar Live

Sugar Live is the hottest nightclub in Barbados. We have already featured it in our “Things to Do on Thursday” piece, but Saturday nights are also not to be missed here as well. Doors open from 8:30pm and ending around 2am, join the sing along with Piano Man Alan Sheppard from the famed Spice & Company band! Come out casually or relaxed dressed and experience the best classic hits from Elton John, Billy Joel to Prince and David Bowie. Sugar Live will have you dancing under the stars.

Island Safari Tour

What better way to spend a Saturday than on a 4×4 off road jeep adventure? This sightseeing expedition will guarantee you a day of fun and discovery of the island of Barbados, its culture and history. The guides are very knowledgeable and will make the overall experience that more exciting. You have the option of the 5-and-a-half-hour Adventure Safari, which usually involves visiting the most picturesque spots in the north and east of the island, both on and off road. The package includes a Bajan buffet lunch, drinks and snacks. Or, you can choose the 4-hour Discovery Safari, where you will be able to see some of the hidden bays and beaches in Barbados, with sandwiches, snacks and drinks serves along the way. Oistins Fish Fry

If you missed it on Friday, Oistins Fish Fry is also a hub of activity on Saturday nights as well. Get your beers served with red snapper, swordfish, shark, tuna, shrimp and many other seafood delicacies in Oistins. Entertainment is usually provided in the form of music, but is also accompanied by Karaoke and Dance groups on Saturdays between 7pm and 12am. No reservations or bookings required.

St. Lawrence Gap

St. Lawrence Gap in Christ Church is the hub of social activity on weekends, especially Saturday nights. With a wide range of nightclubs, bars and restaurants, each with a variety of entertainment provided, you will surely find something to do in The Gap. From ballroom dancing at Sweet Potatoes to the all you can eat buffet at Paulo’s Churrasco do Brazil, you will never experience a dull moment in the Gap.

Bubba’s Sports Bar and Restaurant

One of the premier sports bars in Barbados, Bubba’s Sports Bar and Restaurant is a great place to chill out with friends on Saturdays, while watching some international sports events. For all you football fans, visit Bubba’s and relax in the air-conditioned atmosphere and watch the biggest matches on the big screens in Bubbas from the English Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, the Bundesliga and many more. It is open for lunch and dinner from 11 am to 1am (times are subject to change depending on sporting events), with happy hour from 5pm. For more information on reservations, call 435-8731.

Coast Beach Cafe & Lounge

Located on the beachfront in Worthing on the south coast of Barbados, Coast Beach Café and Lounge is a great place to spend an entire Saturday. First, they serve guests breakfast from 8am to 10am. This is followed by a delicious lunch on the beach, which is served form 11am to 4pm. Then, they have not one but two happy hours, the first from 5pm to 7pm and the second from 9:30pm to 10:30pm. So, come out and enjoy great music, karaoke, food and drinks this and every Saturday. For more details, contact 622-1858.

Rachel’s Bar and Restaurant

Rachel’s Bar and Restaurant is located on the South Coast at the Savannah Beach Hotel. It is a host of the re-Discover Restaurant programme with a special Gourmet meu selection for just $99BDS. Dinner is 3 course meal and include a bottle of house wine, in an open-air setting. The dress is elegantly casual. To make a reservation, call 434-3800

Live Entertainment in Bar 1887 at The Crane

For those who have to unfortunate pleasure of working on Saturdays, visit Bar 1887 at the Crane for an after-work lime designed to unwind you after a long day or by extension week. Eat, drink and lounge to the sounds of live entertainment each Saturday between 8pm and 10pm. Bar 1887 is also great for pre-and post-dinner cocktails in addition to liming after work.
