Watching the sunset
There are few things more romantic than watching a sunset against the backdrop of the cool, calm waters of the Caribbean Sea. The Boardwalk on the south coast is an ideal place for this. Also, there is the option of lounging on the beach to watch the sunset and some ideal locations for this are Batts Rocks, Mullins Bay and Heywoods Beach.
Experience exquisite cuisines from across the island
Barbados, despite its small size has hundreds of excellent restaurants that serve a variety of cuisines from Indian, Italian, American or Thai. Picnic in the garden
Barbados has a wonderful collection of gardens including Hunte’s Gardens and Flower Forest. Take a nice afternoon stroll with a picnic basket and enjoy the calm atmosphere and scenery. Cave Exploring
On the surface, it does not appear too romantic, but the caves in Barbados, especially Harrison’s Cave and Animal Flower Cave provide a nice setting for you and your loved one to experience nature. With Harrison’s Cave boasting Stalactites and Stalagmites, waterfalls and crystalline waters, and the Animal Flower Cave, the only human accessible sea cave in the island, boasting whale watching (depending on the type of the year), this exploration can be a romantic one for you and yours.
Horseback Riding
Whether beach or countryside are both, whichever you choose, it will be an exciting experience and adventure. Barbados has several organizations offering riding tours during the day or even sometimes at night. Take a map, rent a car, and either pick up some food on the way or pack a picnic basket and spend the entire day with your partner driving around the island and taking in the sights and scenes that the island has to offer.
