According to the Chief Executive Officer of the Barbados Tourism Investment Incorporated (BTII), Stuart Layne, the entrance to St. Lawrance Gap, The Gap, will be transformed within the next few weeks. The current timber walkway will be replaced by a concrete finish with the exposed aggregate and limestone trimming. The wear and tear over the life of the boardwalk has caused it to fall into disrepair and so, the BTII has opted for a low maintenance solution. Refurbishment of the boardwalk is already underway and it is expected that the new look of the boardwalk will be refreshing and in keeping with the high standards of the Barbados tourism sector.
