Gardens & Parks - Errol Barrow Park

November 28th, 1987, a mere five months after his passing, Errol Barrow Park was opened in memory of the 'father of Independence', Errol Walton Barrow. This small community park is located in The Pine, St. Michael and features a well maintained lawn, benches and foliage, and a simple rock garden showcasing Barrow's name.

In 1998, Errol Barrow was named one of the 10 National Heroes of Barbados. He is also honoured with a public holiday on January 21st, his birthday, a statue looking over Independence Square and his face printed on the $50 bill.
