BARBADOS AGROFEST

Hosted annually in Queens Park, Bridgetown, Agrofest, the three day event produced by the Barbados Agricultural Society in connection with the Ministry of Agriculture, is one of the largest events in Barbados. The "Agro-event" presents patrons with a unique opportunity to experience all the facets of Barbados’ agricultural sector in a relaxed, fun and comfortable environment.

Agrofest is used to sensitize Barbadians to the value of the agricultural sector, of food security and of agricultural effects on our economy. It allows vegetable & fruit farmers, livestock farmers, fishermen, as well as persons involved in horticulture and other areas to come together in order to showcase a variety of high quality local products, promote the use of new and improved appropriate technology for crop production, demonstrate the close relationship between the agricultural sector and other sectors, and to show environmental well-being.

It is an occasion to present the many opportunities which are available for career choices and advancement within the industry, while providing overseas investors and guests of the exhibition the opportunity to showcase their products.
