Recipe - Rum Punch

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 cups dark rum
  • 2 cups crushed ice
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • Grated nutmeg.
run-punchPut sugar in a small saucepan, add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil, stirring constantly.Lower heat and simmer for 3 to 5 minutes until sugar is completely dissolved.Remove from heat and cool. Pour resulting syrup into a large container. Add lime juice,dark rum and ice and mix well. Finally add a dash of Angostura Bitters and pinch of nutmeg and continue to mix. 

Serve ice-cold.
